The fall recognition application form is now open!!

Requirements
Student groups seeking recognition must meet the following criteria:
- At least five members
- Members must be undergraduate or graduate MIT students with regular student status
- A written mission and goals that are not redundant to an existing recognized student organization or a justification for filling an unmet need
- A draft budget [NEW requirement starting Fall 2024]
- A constitution for the student group that includes all ASA Constitution Requirements
Timeline
- Application opens on Thursday, October 11th and closes at 11:59 PM EST on Friday, November 1rst
- ASA voting takes place during the month of November
- Decisions are sent by the ASA during the first week of December
- Newly Recognized Student Organization Registration must be completed by December 31st [NEW requirement starting Fall 2024]
Help Sessions
Executive officers of the ASA will be offering help sessions while the Application for Recognition is open to answer questions and provide guidance for students who are interested. Students should email asa-groups@mit.edu to schedule a help session.
