Any group with an athletic focus that is competitive and/or instructional in nature must first go to the Athletics Department to request to become a Club Sport. Groups that are purely recreational in nature, may request to become an ASA group but will have less priority in reservation of DAPER space than Club Sports. The Club Sports Council will process the request and either grant recognition as a Club Sport, or ask the group to wait until resources are available. Please note that if your group is not recognized by the Club Sports Council, but is instructional and/or competitive in nature, you may NOT apply to become an ASA group.
See the Club Sports Council New Clubs Page for further details and application.
Because of their ability to use LEF and ARCADE funds, Club Sports may vote in General Body meetings, though they are not required to attend.
