2009 ASA Office/Storage Space Application

Thank you for taking the time to fill out an ASA space application. Regrettably, we do not have sufficient space to meet the wishes of every group. However, it is our hope to satisfy the essential needs of every group. Before you proceed, please take a moment and familiarize yourself with the distinction that is being made this year between office and storage space:

* Office space is intended as space that is consistently and regularly used by members of your group. Such activities that could qualify as satisfactory use of office space are regular, almost daily group meetings, production for your group, office hours that you hold for other MIT students to attend, etc. While there may be more activities that your group may deem to require the allocation of an office (occasional meetings, a quiet place for your members to do their homework), please keep in mind the numerous classrooms and lounges across campus that one can reserve for meetings and seriously consider if your group would be better suited to have storage space.

* Storage space is intended as space to store group property, either temporarily (leading up to or during an event) or permanently (a webserver or materials for recurring meetings/events).

For groups which applied two years ago, you may look up your responses here. While the questions from the 2007 application were different, some of the longer answers may be useful for the longer questions on this 2009 application.

Again, thank you for taking the time to fill out this application. We assure you that the information you provide will be reviewed with care and we will do our best to meet your needs. If you have any questions, please email us at asa-office@mit.edu.

Sincerely,

The ASA Executive Board
